In July this year (2012) my AC went out. It had never been good to begin with. I called my home owner's warranty and the guy that came out with an unnamed service filled it with freon and said that was what was wrong. Needless to say a week later, problem was still there. I decided it was time for a change. I called around 12 AC companies and started taking bids for service. Every single service told me that getting my AC replaced would not be enough, my air ducts were rotten and needed to be replaced too.
During the snowpocolypse of 2010 (Feb 11) I had a furnace igniter break on me. I called a business that advertised 24/7 response but never heard back until 12 hours later. The next morning I called ESP, spoke to a LIVE person and roughly 3 minutes later got a call-back from the technician (Kevin) who was on-call. I expected a long wait as a major storm had just rolled through the day before but he was on his way within 2 hours. He was able to diagnose the problem, showed me the broken part and had it replaced within 2 hours (he had to go get the part elsewhere). I've called ESP twice now in the past 2 years and both times the service has been exceptionally prompt, professional and satisfying. I won't call anyone else!
